WORTHINGTON — It’s been a season of firsts for the Murray County Central boys’ golf team. And in its first season of existence, the Rebels can add one more: Red Rock Conference champions.
WORTHINGTON — Worthington golfer McKenzie Hurley certainly picked a good time of the year to break out for the Trojans girls’ golf squad. Hitting 54s all season, WHS coach Ron Wood wanted Hurley to pick up her game. He asked for a 48. Hurley did him one better.
SLAYTON — Getting 19 players into the game Tuesday afternoon, the depth-filled and experienced Murray County Central Rebels put the finishing touches on the 2012 Red Rock Conference high school baseball championship with a clean 8-0 victory over the Southwestern United Wildcats.

SLAYTON — An African proverb and Hillary Clinton both state “it takes a village to raise a child.” In Murray County, the villagers are pulling together to educate their children by saving the lids from Kemps and Land O Lakes products.
